Our Heartbeat
At Providence, our heartbeat is to display the glory of God in all things to all people. We want to show His greatness through four Biblical commitments.
A Commitment to Truth
We strive to glorify our Creator through a commitment to the truth. Our desire is to be a church that is centered on and driven by the Word of God. It is only through the inspired Word of God that we can know God and enter into a relationship with Him.
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. - John 17:17
A Commitment to Worship
We seek to exalt our great God through authentic worship from humble hearts. We are passionate about lifting up the name of our God, the only One who is worthy of such high praise.
Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created. - Revelation 4:11
A Commitment to Community
We desire to display God’s greatness through loving and transparent relationships with our fellow believers. All believers have been brought into the family of God, and are united by the Holy Spirit as brothers and sisters in Christ. As we build and strengthen relationships with our Christian family members we have the opportunity to love, help, teach, admonish, and care for each other.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. - Hebrews 10:23-25
A Commitment to Missions
We desire to bring glory to God by spreading the greatness of His name to people who have not heard it. Our mission is to spread the gospel to all nations. This can be done by sharing Christ locally, and supporting those who share Christ globally. Our prayer is that God will use our church to demonstrate His love, and spread joy to those who need Christ.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. - Acts 1:8
